About & Summary
This weblog will combine past photo and trip logs/journals into a single form. A sort of online scrapbooking to share with friends and family and anyone else who shares a passion to explore the world by self-propelled means.
Each blog entry represents a day on a trip. Just enter the date at the start of a trip listed below into the search bar (upper right corner of screen) to read through a trip chronologically. Be sure to use quotation marks around your search item, for example:
Enter in Search Box: “July 22, 1995″ [I have now also added hyperlinks below]:

The blog will focus primarily on past canoe and bicycle trips. I have tried backpacking a few times, but my preference is canoeing and bicycle touring so I will focus on these only. Backpacking has been ruled out mostly because of occasional back issues and trying to minimize the accumulation of gear. So I stick with day trips for backpacking. The beauty of cycling and canoeing is you don’t have to haul any gear on your back.
I am from the Saskatchewan prairies and consider that the starting point (home base) from which the journeys expand outward. Therefore the blog will cover journeys both through and beyond the prairies. I hope to add more with future journeys to come. Enjoy!
